Waiting for Dolly

As I sit here we're awaiting the arrival of Tropical Storm Dolly which (or who?) is hanging off the Caribbean coast about 280 km away. We're expecting four to six inches of rain from this one and gusts of up to 80 km/hour. Every once in a while we check the reports and trajectory maps on Wunderground an excellent web page for storm and hurricane advice. We've still got a few things on our "hurricane list" to buy such as an additional water container. Our bedroom windows still have the masking tape in place from the storm last year - the strips of tape are used to contain any shattered glass. It is a good sign that this house didn't suffer any damage in last year's hurricane, also we are about 10 metres above water level so flooding isn't a threat here.
