Yet again, it's the B de Vaca question that I've been banging on about in my blog for some time.
We bought a pot of varnish to paint our new desk. The Mexican Spanish for varnish sounds like barnis, but is that with "b" de vaca or "b" de burro? The answer is "b" de burro, totally confounding my expectation and now I reckon I am as confused as the average Mexican. My confidence with Spanish Scrabble is now officially shot.
