Yesterday in the car we passed a sign for Bouganbillia such and such, a hotel I think.
(Now bougainvillea, with its deep purple flowers, is very common in the gardens of Mexico.)
With a slightly evil glint I asked my companions whether the sign was correctly spelt. What precisely was the configuration of Bs and Vs in bougainvillea? I was nearly hit by Sofia for being so boorish. I think I've been going on a bit too much about B de baca B de burro.
I concluded that the bouganvillea, whilst being very ornamental in Mexico, is also linguistically a bit of a vugger.
